What is it?
Each year, the American Physical Society puts together a collection of activities (called PhysicsQuest) that encouraged middle and high school students to explore physics. Each kit has a theme and includes several activities and information about a physicist working in the chosen area. The 2025 PhysicsQuest and the 2021 PhysicsQuest kits were both related to quantum.
How can you use it?
PhysicsQuest activities each come with a teacher guide and a student guide. The activities generally require little to no materials and are great for classroom instruction. All of the activity guides are freely available on the American Physical Society website (each quantum-related PhysicsQuest kit is linked below).
PhysicsQuest 2025: Quantum The Future State: contains 8 activities aimed at middle and high school students.
PhysicsQuest 2021: Introduction to the World of Quantum: contains 4 activities created for middle school students.
Creators:
The American Physical Society has put together these PhysicsQuest kits. Activities included in the kits have been created by various individuals, as noted on the APS website.
